In a standard GPU, the connections for RS232 (X4) and RS422/485 (X5) are placed on the processor module that is accessible via the rear door of the GPU. Since this placing may not always be appropriate, we offer option 573916.

With the integration of this option, the connections are led to the front side of the GPU and they are accessible via the front door. The connection is either made via a pin or a socket connection on module A13.

Further, the option includes a change of the signals to allow that a standard null modem cable can be used for the communication with the GPU.

Please note : In systems where a multi-point connection is required, appropriate electrical isolation must be added.
